Limerston-backed Arch Sciences acquires Apex Scientific
Limerston Capital Partners portfolio company Arch Sciences has acquired Apex Scientific, a provider of laboratory services.
The firm provided fresh capital to support the acquisition, drawn from its debut fund, which closed on €223.5m in August 2017.
Formerly called Crawford Scientific, Limerston acquired the company in October 2017 from Maven Capital Partners. The sale generated a 4.7x return for the vendor after a three-year holding period, equivalent to an IRR of 70%.
This is part of Arch's international expansion plan, and its first step into the EU market. Apex's management team will stay on with the company.
