
Marcol-backed HealthHero acquires Eight Roads-backed Doctorlink
Marcol-backed HealthHero has acquired Eight Roads-backed Doctorlink, a provider of online triage and health risk assessment software.
The deal sees Eight Roads make a full exit from Doctorlink.
Marcol acquired Medical Solutions, a remote GP service, in July 2017, using debt provided by Banco Santander. The firm launched HealthHero following the acquisition of a 90% stake in telemedicine startup Fernarzt in August 2020.

Eight Roads invested £20m in Doctorlink in October 2017 to assist in the expansion of its business reach.

Doctorlink is a digital triage provider serving GP surgeries in the NHS across the UK, facilitating video consultations. Founded in 2016 and based in London, the business generated £3.8m in turnover in the year to 30 June 2020, with negative EBITDA of -£7.6m.
