Sun Capital et al. in £13m round for Roxi
Sun Capital has invested in a ТЃ13m funding round for music streaming service Roxi Music, according to press reports.
The firm is currently investing from its seventh-generation fund, which closed on $2.3bn in July 2019 and was 30% deployed as of March 2020.
Other investors in the funding round include Terra Firma founder Guy Hands, Chrysalis Records founder Chris Wright, and former Pandora executive Henrik Holmark. Other shareholders in the business include Sony Music, Warner Music and Universal Music.
The fresh capital is expected to go towards the roll out of Roxi across new geographies and platforms.
The company is on track to raise £200m on the London Stock Exchange through an IPO that is expected to occur in 2022.
