
Rockpool invests in EA-RS
Rockpool has invested in EA-RS Fire Group, a provider of fire protection systems to the UK data centre market.
Rockpool is a private equity firm that facilitates individual investment in private companies. It provides equity and loan financing of between £3-12m to profitable UK-based private companies and has invested more than £475m since its inception, according to a statement.
The investment will be dedicated towards making acquisitions. Since its establishment, it has made three acquisitions. EA-RS is led by a management team consisting of CEO Alan Wheal, managing director Mark Wheeler and CFO Derek Ferguson, who will lead the buy-and-build acquisition strategy.
Andrew Aylwin, managing partner of MDW Capital and former partner at Lyceum Capital, has joined the board at completion as non-executive chairman.

EA-RS installs and maintains fire detection, fire alarm, fire suppression, water mist and sprinkler systems for data centres, healthcare providers and housing associations across the UK. Based in Witham, the company employs around 50 people and was founded in 1996.
