YFM invests in Outpost VFX
YFM Private Equity has invested more than £1m in visual effects company Outpost VFX.
The firm is currently investing from its second-generation buyout fund, which closed on £80m in March 2020.
The fresh capital will go towards developing its infrastructure, company culture and proprietary platforms, as well as providing a base for further international growth across its four international locations, according to a statement.
The investment coincides with the appointment of Robin Shenfield to the board as chair; Shenfield previously co-founded film and television company The Mill.
Company
Outpost VFX was set up in 2013 and offers film and TV visual effects provision. Headquartered in Bournemouth, it now also has operations in Montréal and London, as well as having recently opened a new studio in Los Angeles.
