
Downing leads $10m StorageOS series-B
Downing Ventures has led a $10m series-B funding round for storage software company StorageOS.
Existing investors Bain Capital Ventures, Uncorrelated Ventures and MMC Ventures also participated in the round, alongside new investor Chestnut Street Ventures.
The company intends to invest further in its go-to-market strategy and scale its sales and customer-facing technology teams to build its customer base and revenues.
Previous funding
In June 2017, Bain Capital Ventures led a $2m seed funding in StorageOS.
Bain Capital Ventures led an $8m series-A funding round in May 2018, which also saw participation from MMC Ventures and 645 Ventures.

Founded in 2015, StorageOS is a software-based distributed storage platform designed to provide persistent container storage. It offers erasure coding, data reduction, data mobility, run-time management and data security services to enterprise customers. The company is based in London.
