
Primary Capital takes minority in Sigma Sports
Primary Capital Partners has taken a minority stake in Sigma Sports, an omni-channel retailer of cycling equipment.
The firm is currently investing from its fifth-generation fund, which held a first close on £45m and has yet to announce a final close, according to Unquote Data.
Founders Ian Whittingham and Jason Turner will both remain with the company following the deal.
HSBC provided debt funding for the deal.

Founded in 1992, Sigma Sports is based in Kingston upon Thames. It is a retailer for cycling and triathlon-related products. It has a flagship store in Hampton Wick and a second store in Oakham, and employs 80 staff.
