
Horizon Capital invests in The Marketing Practice
Horizon Capital has invested in B2B marketing agency The Marketing Practice.
The GP made a commitment of £20m to the company, according to its website.
Following the investment, the GP intends to invest further in its technology and infrastructure. The company also intends to grow via international expansion and aims to consolidate the fragmented B2B marketing sector.
Meanwhile, Trevor Rolls has been appointed as chairman of the company.
Horizon is currently deploying equity via Horizon Capital I, which held a final close in October 2018 on £200m. The fund generally makes equity investments of £10-50m, backing UK-based technology companies.

Founded in 2002 and based in Oxford, The Marketing Practice is an account-based B2B marketing business. The company has offices in Seattle, Munich and Sydney, serving clients including Salesforce and O2 Business. The company employs 180 staff.
According to its latest publicly available financial statements, the company posted revenues of £10.6m and operating profit of £2.3m in 2019, compared with turnover of £10.3m and operating profit of £1.4m in 2018.
