
Lansdowne in USD 45m round for Raspberry Pi
Lansdowne Partners and the Ezrah Charitable Trust have led a USD 45m funding round for UK-based computer producer Raspberry Pi.
The company has a pre-money valuation of USD 500m.
The company intends to use the fresh capital to accelerate its product development and marketing, according to a statement.
The Sunday Times reported in March 2021 that Raspberry Pi was considering an IPO on the London Stock Exchange, which could see the company valued at GBP 300m.

Raspberry Pi produces small, low-cost, high-performance computers for consumers and industrial applications, including for Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks. The prices of its computers start at USD 35 and the company promotes computing in schools via its parent charity, the Raspberry Pi Foundation, which has received more than GBP 30m in donations to date.
Founded in 2008 and based in Cambridge, Raspberry Pi posted GBP 11.4m in adjusted EBITDA in 2020, according to a statement.
