SEP in £1.25m round for Cyberhawk
Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) has led a ТЃ1.25m investment in remote aerial industrial inspection company Cyberhawk Innovations.
The Scottish Investment Bank also contributed to the funding round.
The firm will direct the capital towards the expansion of its range of technology-led solutions into new markets and geographies. Cyberhawk plans to double its headcount in the next year.
Company
Founded five years ago and based in Livingston, Cyberhawk Innovations uses flying robots to conduct visual and thermal inspections of industrial assets including flares, utility transmission towers and wind turbines.
The firm also delivers aerial land surveying solutions for the oil and gas, utilities and renewable energy sectors. Cyberhawk counts international firms including Shell, ExxonMobil and Total among its client base.
The firm's service offering means that energy infrastructure can remain operational during inspection, avoiding the costs incurred due to asset downtime. Health and safety risks are also minimised through the reduction or elimination of the need to work at height.
People
Tony Robison led the deal for SEP. Kerry Sharp is head of the Scottish Investment Bank.
