Seraphim backs Aria
Seraphim Capital has led a $4m funding round for UK-based Aria Networks alongside the UK governmentтs Capital for Enterprise fund.
Aria plans on using the fresh capital to grow its customer base and enter new markets by capitalising on the strategic industry partnerships the company has established in recent months.
Previous funding
In May 2008, Seraphim provided £2m to Aria in its series-A funding round. The firm then invested a further $1.1m alongside Capital for Enterprise and a private investor in October last year, according to unquote" data.
Company
Founded in 2005, Aria is headquartered in Chippenham and employs 35-40 staff. The company provides capacity management software to fixed-line, mobile and cloud services providers. Capacity management is described by Aria as the process of ensuring a network is the correct size for meeting customer demand.
Aria's capacity management software is designed to simplify and speed up strategic design tasks, as well as support capacity build plans and network operation.
Customers of the company include businesses that are rolling out 3G or 4G mobile, broadband and business data services. Aria has partnerships with several operational support systems vendors, network equipment vendors and system integrators.

Tony Fallows is the CEO of Aria. Seraphim investment director Mark Boggett sits on the company's board as a non-executive director.
