Accel Partners, Balderton Capital and Index Ventures have taken part in a $40m series-C round of funding for UK-based international holiday home rental website HouseTrip.com.
Accel led the round, which will allow HouseTrip to expand its marketplace into more territories and develop new products and services for travellers and hosts.
Balderton led a $17m series-B financing round for the business in November last year. Existing investor Index Ventures, which provided $2.7m in a series-A financing round for HouseTrip earlier in 2011, also participated in the series-B round.
