LDC returns to MB Aerospace
Despite exiting MB Aerospace three months ago, LDC, alongside new owner Arlington Capital Partners, has reinvested in the aerospace engineering group to support its acquisition of Delta Industries.
LDC initially backed the management buyout of Motherwell-based MB in April 2007. The company currently has operations in Derby, Burnley and Detroit, US. MB is an aerospace engineering group providing engineering and supply chain solutions to aero-industrial gas turbine platforms.
LDC then sold MB in a secondary management buyout to Arlington Capital Partners in March this year. The deal saw Arlington pick up a majority stake in the company alongside management, which reinvested for a minority stake.
This latest transaction sees LDC and Arlington supporting MB's purchase of US-based Delta.
Company
Delta Industries is based in Connecticut and provides engineered components for the commercial and military aero-engine and industrial gas turbine markets.
Following the transaction, MB's combined revenues will total more than $150m and staff numbers will increase to 550.
People
LDC's investment was led by regional managing director Martin Draper as well as investment directors Steve Aston and Rob Schofield.
