Enterprise Ventures invests in Isis Forensics
Enterprise Ventures (EV) has backed UK-based forensics software developer Isis Forensics with funds from its North West Fund for Venture Capital and Lancashire County Councilтs Rosebud Fund.
The company intends to use the capital to develop products to expand in the UK and internationally.

Isis Forensics was founded by CEO Dr James Walkerdine in 2007 as a spinout from Lancaster University. The company provides software that combats online child abuse by using language analysis tools to detect adults masquerading as children and grooming victims in internet chatrooms.
Isis Forensics' product is currently used by law enforcement agencies. It also has potential applications in detecting fraud and undertaking advanced market analysis. The business is based at Lancaster University's Infolab21.
