YFM backs Finance Online with £1m
YFM Equity Partners has injected ТЃ1m of mezzanine financing into UK Finance Online Ltd, a Bolton-based company that handles PPI claims.
The investment was made through The North West Fund for Development Capital, a sub-fund of the £185m North West Fund that is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the European Investment Bank (EIB). The fund invests £100,000-2m in businesses across all stages of development.
The investment will support the growth of the company and the recruitment of additional members of staff.
Company
Founded in 2002 and based in Bolton, UK Finance Online, which trades as Money Health Check, handles claims for mis-sold payment protection insurance policies (PPI). The firm acquires pre-qualified leads for claims, which it then processes as a formal claim and negotiates with the PPI provider to obtain a refund and compensation. The company operates on a no-win no-fee basis.
UK Finance Online was acquired by entrepreneur Ges Ratcliffe and his business partner James Dean in 2007.
