GCP in £6m Fishawack bolt-on
Fishawack, a medical communications agency backed by Growth Capital Partners (GCP), has acquired Switzerland-based Archimed Medical Communications for ТЃ6m.
GCP acquired Fishawack in an SBO at the end of March. GCP intends to grow the company organically and through a buy-and-build process. This is the first bolt-on for Fishawack since the buyout.
The acquisition will make Fishawack the largest medical communications company in Switzerland, with more than 40 employees, according to GCP.
The merger will also add to the business's clinical and regulatory writing capabilities and pharmacovigilance work.

Founded in 1997 by CEO Francoise Rampelberg and based in Zofingen, Switzerland, Archimed is an agency that specialises in providing pharmacovigilance support and scientific writing for global pharmaceutical companies.
The company currently employs 24 staff.

Simon Jobson is a partner at GCP and a member of Fishawack's board. Richard Shaw and Garrett Curran are partners at GCP. Oliver Dennis is the co-founder of Fishawack.
