Baird's SR Group makes New York bolt-on
The SR Group, a recruitment services firm backed by Baird Capital Partners Europe since 2013, has acquired Maximum Management Corporation (MMC), another recruitment business based in the US.
Baird invested in the recruitment services firm in 2013, with Beechbrook Capital providing debt to support the transaction. According to a source close to the situation, SR Group is cash generative and the acquisition of MMC was therefore funded through internal resources.
The acquisition of MMC adds a New York presence to the group, which had already been present in the UK and the rest of Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. SR will first look to launch its legal and compliance recruitment brand, Taylor Root, on the US market in 2016. Ultimately, the group will aim to launch its Brewer Morris (tax and treasury), Carter Murray (marketing and sales) and SR Search (legal partner search) brand on this market as well.
Company
Founded in 1987 and based in London, SR is an international recruitment firm serving the legal, human resources, tax, marketing and executive search sectors. The company has several brands serving these specific markets.
Adding MMC, a smaller recruitment firm founded in 1985, means SR now employs 300 staff worldwide.
