
FF&P takes minority stake in Sohonet
FF&P Private Equity has taken a minority stake in British media data management business Sohonet.
The management team and angel investors that participated in the management buyout in 2003 will continue to hold a majority stake in the company.
The new capital will be used to support Sohonet's international expansion.

Sohonet is a London-based data management company focusing on the media and entertainment industry. The company operates offices in the UK, Sydney and Los Angeles. Its business model profits from the increasing amount of data in the media industry, for example through the use of larger formats like 3D or HD. In 2011, the company's revenues amounted to $10m.

David Barbour, co-head and director, led the deal for FF&P. Following the transaction, investment director Llewellyn John and investment manager Henry Ropner joined the board of Sohonet on behalf of FF&P. Dave Scammell is CEO of Sohonet.
