DN Capital et al. in $2m round for Hostmaker
DN Capital has led a $2m funding round for Hostmaker, a UK-based provider of hospitality management services to Airbnb hosts.
Other venture investors in the round included Avala Capital and DSG Consumer Partners. The deal was also backed by Delivery Hero co-founder Nikita Fahrenholz and former Airbnb managing director Mohit Srivastava.
DN Capital stated it had been monitoring the market Hostmaker operates in for some time. The company will use the fresh funds for product enhancements and the second phase of its expansion to other European capitals besides London, Barcelona and Rome.
DN raised €144m for its third European venture and growth capital fund, GVC III, in 2014. It recently took part in a further $14m series-B funding round for portfolio company Happn, a French dating app, alongside Alven Capital, Idinvest and Raine Ventures.
