
Maxfield invests in PKB
Maxfield Capital has led a $1.7m funding round for Patients Know Best (PKB), the UK operator of a personal online medical records system.
PKB will use the fresh capital to hire additional clinical staff and to further develop its product, an online medical records system.
Maxfield is a Russia- and US-based venture capital firm currently investing its $100m fund. It focuses its investments on the IT and internet industry.
Company
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Cambridge, PKB has developed an online medical records system for personal use. Users create an account to organise and manage their own medical records, with the ability to grant access to any medical institutions involved in their treatment.
The company currently works with 40 medical institutions including Great Ormond Street Hospital, St Marks Hospital and Leicester Medical School. It has also integrated with the NHS's Connecting for Health network, being the first company to do so.
