
LDC’s WRG acquires Canyon
LDC portfolio company WRG Creative has acquired live communications agency Canyon.
WRG received a £12m investment from LDC last year and the Canyon deal is the first acquisition made by the firm.
The addition of Canyon will add to WRG's creative, film and logistics offering.
Company
Manchester-based Canyon specialises in live communications. It launched Procter & Gamble's Olympics campaign and has handled the Clarks shoes "back to school" promotion campaign for the past five years.
Salford-based WRG specialises in organising media campaigns, product launches, road shows, public ceremonies and premières.
People
Jonathan Boyne is managing director of Canyon and will become a director of WRG. Simon Braham of LDC sits on WRG's board of directors.
