
Foresight makes further investment in AppInstitute
Foresight Group has invested a further £650,000 in AppInstitute through its Foresight Nottingham Fund.
The fresh capital will be used to increase the company's sales and marketing functions in the UK, as well as to finance its launch in the US. It will also be used to expand its team in Nottingham.
Previous funding
Foresight initially invested £500,000 in AppInstitute in October 2014, according to unquote" data. Since then the company's revenues have grown by 100%.
Company
Nottingham-based AppInstitute was established in 2011 and is a software-as-a-service provider. The business works with SMEs to create and manage smartphone apps for iOS and Andriod. It specialises in apps for certain businesses including food ordering for takeaways and restaurants, e-commerce for retailers, customer loyalty schemes, event bookings, messaging and data capture.
The company has developed a DIY app builder platform and is currently active in 10 countries.
