
North West Fund backs BMWQ
The North West Fund for Digital and Creative, managed by AXM Venture Capital, has invested in BeatMyWasteQuote.com (BMWQ), a UK-based B2B online switching platform for waste disposal services.
The funding will allow BMWQ to expand the coverage of its services in the north west of the UK, as well as improve its switching platform. The company will also use the capital to invest in its online marketing efforts.
Through introductions made by AXM, the founder of Telecity and Yuuguu, Anish Kapoor, has joined BMWQ's board of directors in a non-executive role.

Altrincham-headquartered BMWQ provides a waste-disposal provider switching service for businesses, seeking better rates for its customers.
Services that BMWQ covers on its platform include office recycling, food waste recycling, industrial and construction waste, skip services and rubbish disposal.
The company was founded in 2012.

CEO Carl Bennett and David Brown are the founders of BMWQ. Rupert Wingate-Saul is an investment manager at AXM.
