
Elderstreet backs Sentiment Metrics
Elderstreet Investments has led a £1m series-A funding round for Sentiment Metrics, a UK-based social engagement and intelligence platform provider.
Elderstreet was joined in the round by Netcall, an AIM-listed customer engagement company.
The fresh funding will allow Sentiment to expand its sales and marketing activities, with the aim of extending its international reach.

Founded in 2007, Sentiment is headquartered in Farnborough with an additional office located in Sydney, Australia. The company employs 20 staff.
Sentiment provides a cloud-based platform for the monitoring of social media such as Twitter, LinkedIn and blogs. The platform allows businesses to track conversations between customers and with competitors through social media sites, with the aim of providing greater insight into potential sales leads.
The platform also allows businesses to engage with existing and prospective customers through responses to queries and complaints. Clients of Sentiment can monitor real-time interactions on social media sites and can also access Sentiment's archive of stored conversations.

Leon Chaddock is the founder and CEO of Sentiment. Elderstreet co-founder and managing partner Michael Jackson is joining Sentiment's board of directors as chairman.
