Octopus leads £3.8m round for Kabbee
Octopus Investments and Moneysupermarket.com founder Simon Nixon have provided Kabbee, a price comparison app for London minicabs, with a ТЃ3.8m series-A round of funding.
Kabbee will use the fresh capital to develop its technology and to build its brand.
The company had already received previous funding in 2012, when Samos Investments, Pentland Group, Redbus Group, Betfair founder Ed Wray and two angel investors invested $3.25m in the business, according to unquote" data.
Company
Kabbee is a minicab price comparison site, which also allows users to book and pre-pay for their fare. The service is currently available in London as a website as well as iOS, Android and Blackberry apps.
Users are able to instantly compare quotes from 60 London minicab fleets. The company was launched in 2011 and its app has been downloaded more than 250,000 times to date.

Simon King worked on the deal for Octopus. Justin Peters is the founder and CEO of Kabbee.
