CapVest launches third fund with €400m target
CapVest has launched its third generalist mid-market fund, CapVest Equity Partners III LP, with a target of тЌ400m.
According to the fund's Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing, CapVest intends to raise the vehicle over more than one year. The fund is euro-denominated and based in Jersey. Lazard was named associate broker/dealer.
In August 2006, the GP raised €310m for CapVest Equity Partners II, targeting mid-market growth capital and buyout opportunities across Europe, particularly in the UK. The fund focused on companies with €100-500m EV and took a generalist approach to the asset allocation.
Investors
The minimum commitment for investors is $100,000. At the time of the SEC filing, CapVest Equity Partners III had sold $98.8m (€74.3m) worth of shares. The filing shows that CapVest sold the first securities on 15 January 2013.

Director Simon William Mackenzie is responsible for the fund at CapVest.
