3i-backed SLR acquires GSS Environmental

SLR recently raised a £50m war chest to finance acquisition opportunities. The UK-based group plans to target further consulting firms in growth regions and market sectors as part of its growth strategy. It recently bought consultancy business Metago.

3i acquired its minority stake in SLR from ISIS Equity Partners for £32.5m in May 2008. The company was valued at £100m at the time.
