Investec hires UniCredit's Bachtler

Investec has strengthened its institutional sales group (ISG), hiring Joerg Bachtler to support its corporate lending team.
Bachtler will oversee the syndication and distribution of leveraged buyout transactions originated by Investec's corporate and acquisition finance team.
He will boost growth among Investec's client base across both European and Indian markets. The ISG team is responsible for the global syndication and distribution of transactions originated by Investec.
Bachtler joins from UniCredit Bank in London, where he spent five years as a director in the global syndicate and private sales team. In this role, he focused on the distribution of small- to large-cap leveraged buyouts.
The appointment follows those at Investec of Tom Burgess in July, Galina Markova in June and Connor McMahon and Megan Chavkin in 2017.
