Omers PE appoints Musselwhite as head of Europe
Omers Private Equity, the $11.5bn private equity arm of the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement Scheme, has appointed Jonathan Musselwhite to serve as senior managing director and head of Europe.
Musselwhite joined Omers in 2014 as a managing director, and was later appointed co-head for private equity in Europe. Musselwhite's new responsibilities include leading the European PE team, as Omers aims to expand its high-quality assets portfolio across the UK as well as targeting additional countries and sectors in continental Europe.
Musselwhite's appointment also simplifies the structure of the private equity arm, as it moves to a single senior leader for Europe. His appointment comes as a result of a broader reorganisation, which expands Omers PE by including the Omers Platform Investments team and Omers Ventures.
Omers Platform Investments and Omers Ventures, previously focused on opportunities in North America, are now developing a more international reach in a bid to drive exposure to new investment themes and asset classes.
Martin le Huray, former co-head of European private equity, has left the business.
