BNY Mellon expands PE capabilities
Asset management firm BNY Mellon Asset Servicing has bolstered its private markets team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) with the appointments of Robert Burchett-Coates and Greg Kok for two newly created roles.
Burchett-Coates joins as director of private equity, real estate and infrastructure, while Kok's role is the same with the additional remit of debt.
Unquote has learned that the appointments come as BNY Mellon Asset Servicing sees private markets, including private equity, as an area of growth, and it seeks to build out the team.
Both Burchett-Coates and Kok report to Brian McMahon, managing director and alternative investment services business development executive.
Burchett-Coates is based in London, and he joins from Zedra Group where he served as a director. He has previously worked for Deutsche Bank, Man Group and JP Morgan, among others.
Based in Luxembourg, Kok has previously served as a head of management company services at Maitland. He has also worked for FundRock Group and Franklin Templeton.
BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, a division of BNY Mellon, focuses on providing asset services primarily to institutional investors and asset management firms. Some of the asset services include custody, fund administration, transfer agency, accounting, tax services, global risk solutions and outsourcing.
BNY Mellon has previously committed to DN Capital Global Venture Capital IV, IK VIII, and BC European Capital X, among other funds.
