Venture capital fund invests in Antikytera E-Technologies
Dublin-headquartered startup Antikytera E-Technologies has received an investment from a venture capital house to further expand its remote assistance software and artificial intelligence technology.
According to the Irish Times, the investment was made by a German fund, which deployed €5m in exchange for a minority stake in the company. The deal valued Antikytera at around €15m.
The company reported an increase in revenues during the Covid-19 pandemic and plans to further expand and scale up its team of 20 people to reach 100 staff in the next five years.
Antikytera was founded in 2017 by Kristian Karazissis and Paula Guimaraes. The company provides a remote assistance software called Ermes, which uses augmented reality, artificial intelligence and real-time communication to connect a technician in the field with an expert.
The platform is primarily aimed at engineering companies and can be used in workplace training and production, without any specific hardware, on both iOS and Android devices.
