Hayfin exceeds EUR 2bn target for Special Opportunities Fund III
Hayfin Capital Management has secured more than EUR 2bn to invest via its Hayfin Special Opportunities Fund III credit vehicle.
The fundraise comprises Fund III, which has reached a final close, and related separately managed accounts. Pending further capital commitments through the closure of a small number of additional separately managed accounts in 2022, the fundraising total will go past EUR 2.2bn, according to a source close to the situation.
The firm will target corporate and asset-backed investments across a range of industries, markets, and sub-strategies – including opportunities arising from post-pandemic dislocation and related balance-sheet restructurings, it said in a statement.
Hayfin received capital commitments from a global pool of institutional investors, including public and private pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, insurance companies, endowments, consultants, financial institutions, and family offices.
The firm raised a similar amount (EUR 2.2bn) for the previous vintage of its special opportunities strategy in 2017, as reported.
