Deutsche Bank head of EMEA equity-linked departs

Deutsche Bank’s head of EMEA equity-linked, Xavier Lagache, has left the German lender after more than a decade at the role, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
Details of his next role are not yet available, the sources said. It is not yet known when a replacement will be announced, they added.
Deutsche Bank said in its latest results that it recorded lower equity capital market issuance volumes, which also impacted financings. However, one of the sources said that the bank is fully committed to investing in its equity-linked services and that there is still a deep bench of bankers on the team.
Lagache joined the EMEA equity capital markets team at Deutsche Bank in 2010 from RBS, where he was EMEA equity-linked director for one year, according to LinkedIn. Earlier in his career, he was associate director in the EMEA equity-linked team at HSBC, before taking on a vice president role in Merrill Lynch’s legacy equity capital markets team.
Deutsche Bank and Lagache declined to comment.
