
EQT bolsters sustainability team with hire from Nordea

EQT has hired Ylva Hannestad as Transformation Lead Sustainable Finance & Client Relations from Nordea to work between EQT’s client and sustainability teams, according to a press release.
She will be based in EQT’s Stockholm office and serve as a link between the GP’s clients team on the investors’ side and EQT's sustainability team, a source close to the matter told Unquote.
Hannestad was the deputy head group sustainability at Nordea, driving the Danish bank’s sustainability initiatives for the past decade, according to the release.
Her past experience in sustainable finance also includes serving as a member of the Swedish Bankers Association’s Sustainability Council and the Swedish National Advisory Board for Impact Investing, according to the press release.
EQT held a EUR 2.2bn final close in September on EQT Growth above its EUR 2bn target, raising total commitments of EUR 2.4bn to invest in growth-stage technology companies in Europe and Israel, Unquote reported.
EQT declined to comment on the matter.
