AnaCap gears up for fourth private equity fund
Mid-market sponsor AnaCap Financial Partners is gearing up for its fourth private equity (PE) fund, almost seven years after the final close of its 2016-vintage predecessor vehicle in the strategy.
The GP registered AnaCap IV with the Luxembourg Registry in early May.
AnaCap Financial Partners III held a final close on EUR 850m in 2016.
Subsequent funds have been more focused on the debt market, with credit funds III and IV closing in 2016 and 2019, respectively.
AnaCap spun out its credit arm, which is now trading as Veld Capital, in October 2022 via a management buyout. At the time, the sponsor said that the private equity division would remain at the core of the group.
In January, AnaCap promoted Nassim Cherchali and Tassilo Arnhold to co-managing partners to build out the private equity franchise.
The sponsor recently reaped a 4.3x return by selling a minority stake in German insurance broker MRH Trowe to TA Associates, plus a 4x return on the exit of Danish health insurer Oona Health to trade Top Danmark.
AnaCap focuses on lower mid-market founder-owned financial services, technology and related business services companies in Europe.
AnaCap declined to comment.
