Pemberton hires head of Sustainable Investing
Alternative asset manager Pemberton has bolstered its sustainability team by hiring Niamh Whooley from Goldman Sachs into a new head of Sustainable Investing role.
Whooley led Goldman Sachs' Fixed Income ESG Research and Integration team for more than three years, working across different asset classes on ESG integration and with global clients to develop investment solutions that meet sustainability objectives.
She will also join Pemberton as a managing director, working across all of Pemberton's divisions to deliver on the manager's ESG commitments and develop its sustainable investments.
Prior to Goldman Sachs, she also worked in similar roles at PIMCO, Société Générale CIB and Fidelity International.
Pemberton said in a statement that it already embeds ESG within its investment processes by proactively engaging with borrowers to support long-term, sustainable and profitable growth.
Last year, the alternative credit specialist bolstered its teams in London, Copenhagen and Frankfurt with four new senior hires as well as developing its NAV strategy via the hire of Tom Doyle from 17Capital.
