
SWITZERLAND - EVCA unveils activity figures for 2005
EVCA has annnounced its preliminary fundrasing, investment and exit figures for 2005 at its annual investors' forum in Geneva.
Equity capital invested in expected to exceed EUR 43bn for 2005, which represents a continuation of an upward trend in investments since 2001. 66% of capital invested was in buyouts. Divestment at cost rose from EUR 19.6bn in 2004 to EUR 24bn in 2005, the highest on record. Write-offs represented just 5.5% of the total.
