
UK - 3i et al. invest further £5.1m into Metalysis
A consortium of existing investors, comprising 3i, Environmental Technologies Fund, Chord Capital, Seven Spires Investments and Cody Gate Ventures, has invested in excess of £5m into specialist metals and alloys producer Metalysis Ltd.
Metalysis was spun-out of Cambridge University as FCC Ltd in 2001, before re-branding in 2003. Since 2004, the business has raised £19 million in venture capital and a further £4 million in grants. It employs 43 people in a range of science and engineering, scale-up and commercial development operations.
