FRANCE - Index Ventures invests EUR 22.5m into BestofMedia

Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (EdRIP) previously invested EUR 2m to support the bolt on acquisition of Tom’s Hardware Guide. Management and previous investors in BestofMedia (most of which are business angels and other private individuals) also contributed to that investment, bringing the total previous funding to EUR 6m.

Based in Puteaux, near Paris, BestofMedia (formerly known as BestofMicro) publishes 20 global websites dedicated to providing information and advice to consumers about IT, video games and audio-visual equipment, with 25 million unique visitors per month. The company was founded in 2000 by Alfred Véricel.
