UK - Balderton Capital invests in Top Up TV

As part of the deal, Balderton takes a minority stake in the company and Balderton partner Tim Bunting joins Top Up TV's board. The financing will be used to grow the company organically, particuarly through the exploration of international opportunities in the digital television sector.

Freeview is available in more than 12.9m UK homes, a figure which is set to rise substantially as the country moves towards the completion of the digital switch-over in 2012.
