CVC launches tech-focused fund
CVC Capital Partners has begun fundraising for a new vehicle, CVC Capital Partners Growth Investors, which is believed to be a technology-focused vehicle with a $750m target.
CVC has submitted a filing for the new fund on the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), which reveals the fund is domiciled in Jersey and had not yet taken any subscriptions at the time of filing last week.
While the SEC filing states that the total amount targeted by CVC is "indefinite", the fund's target is believed to sit around $750m.
According to the Financial Times, the fund will provide equity tickets of $50-150m to companies operating within the enterprise software and business services sectors.
Last June saw CVC close its sixth buyout fund, CVC Capital Partners VI, on €10.5bn after just six months on the road.
