UK - Crescent Capital leads £2m Axis investment
Crescent Capital has led a ТЃ2m round of funding for medical imaging company Axis Three, alongside existing investors Clarendon Fund Managers and Siemens.
By integrating patented image capture technology developed by Siemens with its own software, Belfast-based Axis Three develops predictive surgical simulation technology. Current applications target the cosmetic surgery market and are available for the face and breast. Future applications will also target the medical podiatry/orthopedic sectors and 3D gaming animation. Axis operates from offices in Belfast and Boston, US. The company was founded in 2003.
The new funding will be used to accelerate sales and marketing as well as to develop software upgrades and new applications.
