Triago's Dréan launches online PE marketplace Palico
Palico, a global online marketplace for the private equity fund community, launched yesterday.
The business – which has operations in New York, London and Paris – was set up by Antoine Dréan, the founder and chairman of placement agent Triago.
Palico's eponymous online platform allows LPs, GPs, placement agents and gatekeepers to meet and engage with each other. LPs for instance can scout new opportunities in fundraising, co-investments, pledge funds and other private equity fund structures, and can also buy and sell secondary fund stakes. Meanwhile GPs can use the platform to extend their network of potential LPs and market their funds.
Private equity practitioners can access Palico for a flat annual subscription fee. No success fees or commissions are levied on members, according to the company.
The platform's members already include Doughty Hanson, Better Capital and Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners.
