UK - ePlanet invests over £1m into eCommera
ePlanet Ventures has invested in e-commerce service provider eCommera in a deal valued at £1.3m.
Founded in 2007 by Michael Ross, founder of fashion retailer Figleaves.com, and ex-BT marketing director, Andrew McGregor, UK-based eCommera helps large retailers such as Asda and House of Fraser to establish and run profitable online retail operations. The company employs 70 people.
The new funding will go towards driving the geographic expansion of eCommera with an initial focus on Europe. This latest injection of capital comes just two months after eCommera secured funding of £5m from a syndicate of investors led by Frog Capital in conjunction with West Coast Capital and GP Bullhound.
