SWEDEN - Sustainable Technologies Fund and InnKap back Hexaformer

Hexaformer's technology reduces losses in the electricty grid, and lowers the cost of production and maintenance. Founded in 2004, the company has produced more than 1200 transformers for customers including Vattenfall, Fortum, Eon and Banverket.

The business is headquartered in Uppland Väsby, and opened its own production facility in Västervik in Sweden in 2007. In addition to Hexaformer's own production, the company has licensing agreements with other transformer companies which are then allowed to use Hexaformer's technology. One example is MSECC which produces Hexaformer's delta cores for North and South America.
