UK - Inventages Venture Capital invests £4m in Tanfield Foods

Durham-based Tanfield Foods manufactures all natural, allergen-free ready meals, soups and sauces. The company began production five years ago on a site in Consett. The business employs more than 100 people. Its products are currently available in Sainsbury's, Waitrose, Resco, Asda and Morrison's.

The new funding will be used to build capacity in the Consett factory unit and provide extra marketing support, particularly for the company's key brand, "Look What We Found!".

The deal represents Inventages' fourth investment in the UK.
