SWITZERLAND - Helbling joins the fray

Swiss engineering and consulting firm Helbling Gruppe has launched its own private equity fund, Helbling Capital. The group will focus on special and restructuring situations, corporate spin-offs and management buyouts, targeting companies with a turnover of more than SFr 15m.

The Helbling Gruppe currently employs a staff of 320, with experience of management, technology and corporate finance advice. Helbling Capital is intended to complement the group's core operations using money from institutional investors, family offices and private companies to make private equity investments. Helbling partner Beat Dolder will lead Helbling Capital alongside a core team of ten professionals.
