UK - DFJ portfolio company secures $40m funding round

The round was led by new international investors Clarus Ventures, based in the US, and Wellington Partners, based in Munich, with DFJ contributing a further $2.6m through its Prelude Trust plc Fund. The financing follows a £2.75m investment by DFJ as part of a £7m funding round in July 2005.

Oxford Immunotec is a specialist developer of products based on its patented T-SPOT technology, designed to examine a petients cellular immune responce to infection and therefore help develop new ways to diagnose and monitor infection and disease. Its lead product is T SPOT.TB, specifically designed to diagnose latent TB infection and TB disease in humans.
