GERMANY - ECM supports merger of IN tIME and RS Logistik
ECM Equity Capital Management has supported the acquisition by portfolio courier company IN tIME Direkt-Kuriere Transport GmbH of sector rival RS Logistik AG.
In June 2007 ECM acquired a majority stake in IN tIME through its fund German Equity Partners III, with the RS Logistik deal marking the first add-on acquisition as part of a buy-and-build strategy. The merger creates a logistics company operating on a Europe-wide basis with an aggregate headcount of around 400 and annual revenues of approximately EUR 100m. Both companies are active in the segment of time-critical special courier services, with a primary focus on customers in the automotive and components industries.
