UK - Finance Wales leads £500,000 Datmedia
Government-backed Finance Wales has invested ТЃ400,000 as part of a ТЃ500,000 investment into media company Datmedia Ltd, alongside business angel network xenos.
Cardiff-based Datmedia develops software that allows users to publish their own web television material from a PC or mobile phone, which can then be used for corporate promotion, advertising, news, education and training. The Datpresenter software platform synchronises video with presentations, such as PowerPoint, searchable libraries, chat rooms and branded graphic skins. Clients include PricewaterhouseCoopers, CMS Cameron Mckenna, The British Council and The Royal Society.
The funding will be used to expand the company into new markets, as well as developing its existing ones by enhancing Datmedia's managerial, technology and sales teams.
xenos business angel David Hulston will become non-executive chairman of the company as part of the deal.
